Maintenance and Servicing of Slurry Pump and Clear Water Pump in Coal Processing Plant

In the production practice of coal processing plant, Slurry Pump is not only widely used for coal slurry water, circulating water, coal slurry and heavy medium suspension and other wet body transport operations, but also directly affects the process index when used as the feed pump of classifying cyclone, heavy medium sorting cyclone and filter press. Therefore, as an important auxiliary equipment of coal processing plant, the normal operation of the production system is directly affected by the good or bad operation.

Under normal circumstances, the slurry pump machine has been adjusted before leaving the factory. Coal processing plant in the purchase of slurry pump within 6 months, without the use of no disassembly inspection, only need to check whether the rotation of flexible, rust and corrosion, as well as oil filling work. In the slurry pump before use, need to add packing. Other use and maintenance precautions are as follows.


(1) Keep the equipment clean, dry, free of oil and dirt, no leakage.


(2) daily check the slurry pump running sound is normal, whether there is vibration as well as leakage and other conditions, found the problem should be dealt with in a timely manner.


(3) daily check whether the oil level in the slurry pump bracket is appropriate, the correct oil level is near the oil level line position, shall not exceed ± 2mm.


(4) strictly forbid slurry pump in the pool of slurry is pumped out of the state of work, because the slurry pump in the pumping state of work not only vibration is intense, but also affect the life of the pump.


(5) each slurry pump is marked with the size of the largest solid particles allowed to pass, the pump is strictly prohibited to enter the metal objects and more than the pump allowed to pass the large solid particles. And, slurry pump is strictly prohibited to enter the rubber, cotton, plastic and other flexible substances, so as not to damage the slurry pump overflow parts and block the impeller, flow channel, resulting in the pump can not work properly.


(6) to often check the slurry pump shaft seal water and cooling water pressure and flow rate is appropriate. Can be used to check the shaft seal water valve open degree or detect the stuffing box temperature method, the temperature is high when the water supply is insufficient. For the slurry pump using grease lubrication packing, should be regularly refueled 1-2 times a day to ensure that the packing is in a good lubrication state.


(7) To regularly check the amount of shaft seal water leakage, when the leakage increases, the bolts of the packing gland should be adjusted, and the packing should be replaced in time when it needs to be replaced.


(8) must regularly adjust the pump impeller and the gap between the front guard, so that it is kept within the specified best range interval, to ensure that the slurry pump in the high efficiency zone operation. Adjustment steps should be carried out in accordance with the methods and steps specified in the slurry pump instruction manual.


(9) should often check the set bearing temperature, its maximum temperature generally can not exceed 75 ℃.


(10) should be in accordance with the slurry pump operating instructions in the time specified in the regular thorough replacement of lubricants. Slurry pump operation after a certain period of time, should be timely cycle inspection, repair or replacement of damaged parts, so that the slurry pump in good condition.


Daily maintenance and maintenance of the slurry pump


Coal processing plant not only use a large number of slurry pumps, but also a large number of Clear Water Pump. The good or bad working condition of the clean water pump also directly affects the normal operation of the production system. Daily maintenance is an important guarantee for the safe and reliable operation of the clean water pump, and only when the clean water pump is in good condition can it give full play to the performance of the equipment and ensure the normal production needs of the coal processing plant. Generally speaking, the whole machine of clear water pump has been adjusted well before leaving the factory. Within 6 months after the purchase of the pump, the unused clean water pump does not need to be disassembled and inspected, but only needs to check whether the rotation is flexible, whether there is rust and corrosion, as well as oil filling can be done. Before the pump is used, filler should be added. There are several points to note for the care and maintenance of the clean water pump, as follows.


(1) Keep the equipment clean, dry, free from oil and leaks.


(2) Check daily whether the sound of pump operation is normal, whether there is vibration and leakage, and deal with the problems even if found.


(3) Check every day whether the oil level inside the suspension oil chamber of the pump is appropriate, and must be kept at l/3 to 2/3 of the oil mark.


(4) Forbid the pump to work in the state that the liquid in the pool is pumped out, because the pump works in the state of pumping out not only the vibration is strong, but also affects the life of the pump, therefore, special attention must be paid.


(5) It is strictly forbidden to enter metal objects and flexible substances such as rubber, cotton yarn and plastic cloth in the clear water pump, so as not to break the overflow objects of the pump and block the impeller runner, so that the pump cannot work normally.


(6) Regularly check the concentricity of the claw-shaped coupling.


(7) Regularly check the amount of leakage out of the stuffing box, the normal amount of leakage at the stuffing box to 10-20 drops per minute is appropriate; otherwise, the packing gland should be adjusted to tighten the position.


(8) The bearing temperature should be checked frequently, and its maximum temperature should not exceed 70℃-75℃ in general.


(9) In the first month of pump operation, after 100h of operation, replace the lubricant in the suspension oil chamber, after that, every 500h of pump operation, replace the lubricant once.


(10) Should often check whether there is loosening of the support mechanism of the fresh water pump inlet and outlet piping system, to ensure that the support mechanism is secure and the pump body does not bear the support force.
